This is a simulation of a single conductor above a ground plane. The simulation window is actually much larger to ensure proper boundary conditions.

Shameless plug: Seeing these images reminds me of my old Stanford talk (http://www.tcadcentral.com/tcad/limit.html ). I was so proud of the cylinder above a ground plane that I made in SUPREM4 and then imported into PISCES. But no one ever asked me how I made a circle in PISCES! The answer to that unasked question was a foreach loop of about 10 points using the equation of a circle. Of course, I just made half a circle and flipped it. And to get close to the textbook answer, I needed edges that were 10 times as far away as the diameter of the conductor.
